A highly-regarded independent health and safety consultancy is actively seeking a Senior Principal Designer to join their Guildford office.

This consultancy, known for its expert approach to health and safety in the construction sector, offers an excellent opportunity for a Senior Principal Designer to contribute to a busy pipeline of projects across the South East.

The Senior Principal Designer role

As the Senior Principal Designer, you will be a pivotal member of the Guildford team, tasked with overseeing a variety of projects across the South East. Your role will encompass key responsibilities such as:

• Providing leadership and expertise in health and safety within the pre-construction phase of projects.
• Coordinating and managing health and safety aspects of design work.
• Ensuring compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations across multiple projects.
• Collaborating with clients and construction teams to foster safe design principles and practices.
• Overseeing the development of construction phase plans, health and safety files, and other key documents.

This role is ideal for an individual with a robust background in health and safety within the construction industry, seeking to make a significant impact in a leading consultancy.

The Senior Principal Designer

• Extensive experience as a Principal Designer, with a demonstrated track record in leading projects.
• In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and a strong commitment to health and safety in construction.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and inspire teams.
• Relevant qualifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH) and professional memberships (e.g., IOSH, APS) are desirable.
• Proactive and strategic approach to project management and problem-solving.
