About the Opportunity
We have multiple projects in concept, preliminary and detailed design stages which require technical input and leadership.
- Leading/working with a team of Electrical Engineers/designers in developing Electrical Engineering deliverables throughout various stages of the project.
- Undertaking calculations and evaluations in the design of electrical systems and equipment.
- Prepare functional and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates.
- Directs activities to ensure that design conforms to recognised codes and standards, and client requirements.
- Check, review and verify design documentation. • Working with other disciplines (Civil/ Mechanical/ Systems engineering)
- Inputs to project planning and cost control.
Qualifications - External
- Significant experience in electrical design and engineering.
- Relevant experience in working in a highly regulated industry (Nuclear, Defence, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical etc.) preferred or possess suitable transferable skills.
- Detailed knowledge in all relevant engineering standards.
- Relevant experience in electrical building services and LV electrical systems.
- Ideally experience in fire and security systems.
- Experience in HV electrical system design preferred but not essential.
- Relevant experience using industry software, i.e., Trimble, DIALUX.
- Professionally qualified in Electrical Engineering
