Senior Procurement Officer

Join a dynamic team at a Local Authority in the Kingston area! We're actively seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to contribute to our Corporate Commissioning Service.

Permanent Position | Location: KT1 | Salary: £41k - £46k per annum (Negotiable based on experience)

Role Overview:

• Reporting directly to the Commissioning and Procurement Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting the Council by spearheading outcome-driven, lawful, and commercially sound commissioning projects.
• The objective is to ensure the delivery of high-quality services while maximizing value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute significantly to the efficient operations of the Council's corporate Commissioning function.

Candidate Profile:

• To excel in this role, you must exhibit a proven track record in procurement, encompassing expertise in the end-to-end tendering process.
• Public sector experience is preferred, along with astute political acumen and the ability to establish substantial credibility.
• Your strengths lie in adept stakeholder management, enabling effective communication across diverse audiences and quick impact delivery.
• Ideally, you hold or are pursuing a relevant degree or professional qualification, particularly the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
