Job Description
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design process from ideation to execution with a user-centric design approach collaborating closely with other Designers, Product Managers and Engineers to ensure that our products meet the needs of our Merchants.
Your mission
On a regular day as a Senior Product Designer, you will:
Lead the end-to-end design process, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including other designers, product managers and engineers.
Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions, ensuring products meet user needs and expectations.
Develop and iterate wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, employing best practices and industry standards.
Champion user-centric design principles, driving design thinking workshops, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure design implementation adheres to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Work closely with our UX writers to ensure a unified and effective user experience by aligning design elements with clear and concise messaging, creating a cohesive and engaging product narrative.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth
Contribute actively to the development of our Design System
Qualifications
Your Story
As a member of the Product Design team, you will have:
A track record of producing product improvements with robust Product Design processes;
An excellent user experience and user interface design skillset;
A strong understanding of the practical applications of design principles, including grid, typography and colour theory;
Good knowledge of the accessibility implications of design decisions;
A great understanding of qualitative and quantitative user research, and when to use either;
A collaborative attitude to working with other disciplines and stakeholders;
Excellent communications skills, either written or verbal;
The ability to give, and receive, constructive feedback;
A desire to learn from others around you;
Excellent time management and workload prioritisation skills;
A good understanding of Front and Back End technologies and how they impact design considerations;
Good Figma, or similar design software, skills;
An excellent portfolio that demonstrates how you approach and solve product problems; and a relevant design degree, equivalent qualification, or experience.
Good comprehension of Design Systems
