What it's like to work here:Your high-profile work will be integrated into our National Trust Consultancy which provides properties with advice and practical support across the full range of conservation, marketing and supporter development activities. Delivering activities ranging from the design and implementation of major restoration or visitor business projects to practical support for day-to-day operations. All in the service of helping the Trust to deliver its charitable purpose and its strategic aims.
As this role covers the South West and London & South East regions your contractual location can be either our Bristol Hub or our head office in Swindon. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.
- A background of working on relevant programmes and/or transferable skills and knowledge
- Experience of the feasibility, set-up and delivery phases of complex programmes.
- A proven track record of scoping, shaping and planning programmes for strategic benefit.
- Great organisational skills, the ability to move at pace and provide appropriate structure and control, including establishing and navigating programme and organisational governance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills working within a matrix environment; confidence working with senior leaders. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills to make the case for investment at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate with clarity. Experience working in a matrix environment, influencing and motivating others without direct line management.
- Knowledge of Change Management processes and practices and experience of using them to drive transformational change.
- a recognised project (ChPP /APM PPQ or PMQ) or programme management (MSP) qualification, show evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date, and have experience mentoring others in the profession.
