Salary: £47,683 + depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
Contribute to informed decision-making across IM&T FCAS Business Reviews, Sales & Operations, Integrated Business Planning, and Corporate Social Responsibility through insightful data analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Cost Control
Budgetary Oversight: Provide the DTS Project Team with comprehensive cost analysis and forecasts, enabling the effective allocation of resources and confident budget management
Standardisation Advocate: Champion the development and implementation of standardised PMO processes across IM&T and other Business areas, promoting consistency and efficiency
Resource Data Management
Data Integrity Champion: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Resource demand data, implementing robust data governance standards and effectively resolving discrepancies
Risk & Opportunity
Risk & Opportunity Management: Master the DTS toolset and assume ownership of the risk and opportunity management process. Generate insightful reports, lead effective reviews, and transform threats into opportunities for success
Reporting
Strategic Reporting: Analyse and transform complex data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making across diverse organizational functions
Proactive Problem Solver: Analyse project control data (FTE, Cost) to identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise, facilitating productive discussions and risk mitigation strategies
Beyond the Core:
Monthly Reporting Orchestration: Conduct the monthly reporting cycle with meticulous attention to detail, encompassing Resource, Sales & Operations, Integrated Business Planning, Milestones, Cost/EAC/EVM Performance, and Risk & Operations
Performance Pack Proficiency: Leverage the Performance Pack to generate insightful reports, uncover performance improvement opportunities, and demonstrate your mastery of data-driven analysis
Continuous Improvement Advocate: Identify and proactively implement opportunities for PMO function improvement, driving initiatives that optimise efficiency and effectiveness
Your skills and experiences:
A seasoned professional with a proven track record in project control, ideally within the aerospace or defence industry working in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills, a passion for data-driven insights, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable reports and the ability to present data to a range of different teams and stakeholders
Good ability in Excel is essential, and experience of toolsets, including Cobra, Jira and Confluence
Commitment to standardization and continuous improvement, dedicated to optimizing processes and maximizing efficiency
Understanding or experience of Project Management techniques and tools
Working towards a formal Project Management qualification such as APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince 2, or a keen interest to do so

The Programme Management Office team:
The team is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) within the growing organisation of Digital Technology Services (DTS). The team are responsible for Project Management governance across the DTS portfolio, along with monitoring and updating both the schedule and financial statuses of the projects.
You'll be developing PMO processes in the Europe, International and other project areas, utilising PMO standards. You will also be responsible for managing risk and opportunity reviews and resource reviews ensuring all data is correct
