About the role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing construction project management services on new build, refurbishment, maintenance and infrastructure works on the Canterbury and Medway Campuses. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to agreed programmes, budget and quality, working to recognised project and financial management standards. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of projects and processes by identifying and implementing best practices and lessons learned.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A construction related degree or significant demonstrable experience of construction project management
- A valid certificate for CITB, Site Management Safety Training Scheme course
- Formal project management qualification, or willingness to undertake one as a matter of priority
- Demonstrable track record in the delivery of capital projects and refurbishment projects and controlling substantial construction related budgets together with a detailed understanding of financial management and reporting systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction and property related legislation and procurement procedures
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
