About the project:
You will be leading an ERP Transformation project for one of our clients, a global humanitarian organization. They currently use PeopleSoft Finance and PeopleSoft HR as their ERP systems. Your role will be to initiate the project and plan the scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables. You will also manage the stakeholders and vendors until the project is handed over to a permanent staff member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plan the programme/project structure to achieve the agreed vision and outcomes
- Develop and manage a comprehensive set of project documents, from project initiation, discovery and business case, to implementation and closure
- Allocate, manage and empower project resources effectively and efficiently to complete tasks on time and meet project milestones
- Manage relationships and contractual obligations with external suppliers and partners
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and ensure appropriate mitigations to meet project timeline, objectives and outcomes
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with sponsor group, stakeholders and project delivery team to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals
- Report programme/project progress through agreed governance
- Monitor project budgets and ensure projects are executed within the approved financial limits
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure smooth transition to BAU
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure high quality of project deliverables and stakeholder satisfaction
- Continual Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and lessons learned to improve future project delivery efficiency and effectiveness
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering large transformational strategic change programmes/projects from start to finish
- Experience of business change for significant organisation transformation change
- High proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities across the project team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and support cross-functional teams and partners
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to empower, motivate, support and mentor staff
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make informed decisions
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
