Senior Project Manager - IT
Location - Milton Keynes
Salary - £60,000
Our prestigious and award-winning client operating across over 100 countries, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager.
The purpose of the role is to establish and lead the project management function for the professional services delivery team in the Data Privacy space, This includes taking an active role in managing projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for defining, introducing, and implementing project management best practices and driving successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and implement project management best practices within the organisation.
* Take an active role in managing projects.
* Lead and manage the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives and deliverables.
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
* Monitor and report project progress, risks and issues to stakeholders.
* Effectively communicate project updates and expectations to team members and stakeholders.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement within the project management function.
* Mentor and coach project team members to enhance their project management skills.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience in setting up a project management function within a professional services delivery company.
* In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, particularly in the context of professional services.
* Familiarity with Jira and Confluence also the ability to effectively utilise these tools for project management.
* Strong understanding of Data Privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks accordingly.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
Desirable Requirements:
* Professional certification in Agile project management (e.g., CSM or PMI-ACP) or Lean project management.
* Experience with Lean or Agile methodologies, such as Kanban or Scrum.
* Familiarity with Agile project management tools and software.
* Knowledge of the Data Privacy space and related industry trends.
* Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at various levels.
