Due to continued growth the position of Senior Project Managerhas become available to join our newly established team based at Heathrow.

As Heathrow embarks upon its 7th regulatory period “H7”, Costain was awarded two lots as Major Project Partner and Asset Renewal Partner for Terminal 2 – The Queen’s Terminal.

As the contract lead for the main public access tunnel serving Terminals 2 & 3 at Heathrow Airport which is pivotal for enhancing the airport’s reputation and passenger experience, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of civil repairs, remedial works, and cladding installation within the tunnel. Your role will include overseeing team setup, managing activities, and leading a diverse team of designers, engineers, supervisors, surveyors, and supply chain partners. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing progress reports, addressing issues, seeking approvals, and ensuring alignment with the client’s values and behaviours. Additionally, this role offers opportunities for future development and advancement within the ARP or MPP programs.

Role Requirements

  • Civil engineering qualification and practical delivery experience
  • Previous experience of management on complex/sensitive programmes
  • Practical experience working with NEC 4 contracts

Effective communication and strong stakeholder management skills

Passionate about improving performance in the sector through best practice, process improvements and continuous improvement practices.
