Sky Business is a new, exciting division of Sky. We’re passionate about giving businesses better solutions to keep them moving forward – from SoHo, through Mid Market and Wholesale, to Hospitality – we provide broadband, phone and TV services to the whole UK B2B market.

This role sits within the Commercial and Marketing department which supports all our market segments in Sky Business.
What you’ll do:
- Own propositions relating to fixed connectivity products such as Broadband, Ethernet and Wi-Fi and their related portfolio of Value Added Services (VAS) and customer premise equipment (CPE).
- Decide what to sell to whom at which price through which route to market for best results
- This will cover all market segments: Soho, Mid Market, Wholesale and Hospitality subject to the proposition in question
- Develop and take new propositions from concept to market:
- New propositions ideation, evaluation and business casing using customer, competitor and trading insights
- Once funding approved work with marketing, product and programme teams to take the proposition concept to market and ensure it delivers the business and customer benefits promised
- Excite and engage our front line and wider teams at Sky working with L&D teams to best enable them to sell or service your proposition.
- Own pricing and packaging for this category of propositions as a component of new proposition ideation and in life management.
- Own and maintain the marketing claims matrix to be used internally and externally for this proposition area.
- Evaluate scenarios and do business cases for new propositions or marketing investments, linking where appropriate to LRP and annual plan.
- Lead a virtual team from the segments, commercial, marketing and product teams to leverage all elements of the marketing mix (price, product, place, promotion and people) to deliver customer proposition launches or changes successfully.
- Monitor and manage in life performance of customer propositions and proactively propose and deliver enhancements/fixes with the wider Sky Business team.
What you’ll bring:
- An innovative but pragmatic thinker able to come up with ideas that will delight our customers but also make commercial sense and are technically realistic
- Ability to create impactful, robust marketing claims that are backed up by strong reasons to believe to help Sky Business win in the market
- Able to lead a virtual team from across the business in taking a proposition from concept to market
- Strong numeracy and commercial literacy including being a fluent user of software such as Excel.
- Able to size the market opportunity for a proposition in terms of volumes, price, revenues and profits – backed by robust insight and data. Able to model the impacts of price and volume on revenue and margins.
- Expert user of customer insight: working with and distilling multiple and disparate insights and data sources into compelling and actionable recommendations
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with ability to influence and confidently lead discussions at all levels from front line to senior management
- Supportive and inclusive leader with a good understanding of how to get the best from people both within and outside the team
- Experience at working in a senior role in a broadband or similar customer proposition function at a leading UK telco or media company – B2B or B2C.
