Join our Technology Team as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer!
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer within the Kantar Profiles Division has a key role in assuring the excellence of technology solutions. Overseeing the sprint teams’ testing strategy, resolving technical issues, and approving product quality control activities for timely software releases.
You play a key role in championing quality and embedding testing best practice right from the start of a project. Collaborating closely with development teams to set and implement quality benchmarks. Your role involves overseeing testing activities, maintaining quality documentation, monitoring KPIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring high quality technology solutions aligned with Kantar Group IT policies, whilst meeting user expectations and contributing to the success of Kantar Profiles.
What you’ll do…
Own the definition and implementation of quality strategy for an agile delivery team. Embedding a ‘shift left’ mindset.
Align testing activities with project milestones. Monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
Identify and assess potential risks to software quality and project timelines, and develop mitigation strategies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies. Analyse metrics and feedback to find opportunities for optimisation.
Develop and implement test plans and cases. Utilise automation for efficiency and to improve coverage. Report and track defects.
Maintain accurate test documentation. Generate reports and metrics to communicate testing status and progress to stakeholders.
Collaborate with teams to align on quality objectives. Actively participate in agile ceremonies to provide testing related inputs, and champion strong quality practices.
Mentor team members and provide guidance on testing best practices, tools, and techniques. Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-training within the team to build expertise.
What you’ll bring…
  • Understanding of and experience with a breadth of testing types and techniques.
  • A passion for testing in both an exploratory and automated manner.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment.
  • A thirst for new testing knowledge, and a desire to share it with your team
  • A team player, with strong verbal and written communicator.
  • Some experience of mentoring and coaching team members
  • Analytical skills and an understanding of business requirements, including an ability to drive conversations around quality with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience of being the main point of contact regarding Quality Assurance within your team - and a consistent record for creating and driving the test strategy and ensuring your team’s test coverage is appropriate
  • Ability to interpret technical designs and challenge design decisions.
  • Experience of SQL and basic software development skills (Java, JSON, Shell Scripting, XML, Python). And Testing tools such as Gherkin, Selenium, Postman, Excel, Swagger.
  • Experience of using a BDD/ATDD model and documenting test scenarios in Gherkin format.
  • A passion for exploratory testing – asking the “what if” questions and applying this to explore requirements, software, architecture etc.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS).
  • Experience of non-functional testing, failure testing, performance and security considerations.
  • Knowledge of dev-ops pipelines and understand CI/CD principles
