Senior Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
Our client is a national tier 1 main contractor with a fantastic reputation for the delivery of large complex projects for public and private sector clients. They are currently onsite on a massive project in the North East which has the potential to run for another 5 years, and they are now seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their already established commercial team.
Your new role
Reporting to a commercial manager your role will be pivotal to the commercial success of the overall project. Working across all of the packages and work streams your key focus will the idenfication of opportunities to develop commercial value to our client. This project is massive in scale and is subject to inherent change and scope development so there is a requirement for someone to deploy their commercial expertise across the project to protect and enhance our clients commercial position. You will be working with all key stakeholders on the project from your own commercial team to the design and operations function aswell as getting involved with the external consultancies and client representatives. Your communication skills and commercial expertise will be fully leveraged in this role.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Our client is seeking someone who has extensive commercial experience already which they can bring to bear in this role immediately. You will be perhaps a Senior Quantity Surveyor or ambitious Project Surveyor who already has experience of working for a tier 1 or tier 2 builder. Ideally, you will be well-organised, process driven and have a deep understanding of the change process of complex projects already.
