Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next position?

We are working with a successful residential Developer looking to hire a Senior QS.

Ideally you will have experience working for a principal contractor and running projects from inception through to completion.

Based on a large, multi-phase RC Frame development you will:

• Work with project managers, the technical team, and contractors to ensure cost-effective planning and execution of this phase of the development
• Procurement of packages - Ground works, Frame, M&E.
• Maintain all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules
• Analyse and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, materials, and labour costs to provide accurate forecasts and reports.
• Monitor project progress, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing proactive solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a residential contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Excel, cost estimating software, and project management systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• A results-driven mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Salary - up to £80,000 plus car allowance & discretionary bonus
