The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support the construction of new facilities to support the royal navy submarine programme, a multi-billion-pound project.
Day to day, you'll protect Babcock with regard to the acceptability of terms and conditions and to provide guidance, advice, diligence and instruction supporting the tendering, negotiating and placing of subcontracts performed by direct reports.
You will provide the Major Infrastructure Projects with effective support in compilation of pre-tender estimates, cost planning and modelling of design and implementation options, cost review and monitoring of projects, tender compilation, negotiation, commercial review, and subcontractor claim reviews.
You will ensure contract administration is carried out in accordance with NEC4 contract requirements, in line with corporate governance.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week, based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- NEC4 experience
- Construction background
- CEMAR (software) experience - Desirable.
- Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying
Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Chartered RICS
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
