What you’ll do:
- Manage R&D’s Engineering Workshop - maintenance and operation of its machinery and equipment as well as 3D printing setup
- Execute R&D prototype runs – Build & test prototypes for a range of R&D projects giving manufacturing, engineering and design feedback to aid concept development and transfer to manufacturing
- Lead projects to develop the Workshop’s capabilities in line with new project needs with minimal supervision including design of tooling and management of purchases via external vendors
Who you are:
- 4+ years manufacturing experience working with machinery or similar equipment
- Alternatively BEng in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering + minimum 1 year Industrial experience
- Capable of operating 3D CAD software such as Solid Works is desired
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Life science based manufacturing including mass production with small plastic componentry & experience with filtration and sealing technologies
- Proficiency with 3D printing technologies
- Practical hands-on skills having been intimately involved in new product development and associated roll out to manufacturing
