About this role We are seeking to appoint a Senior Research and Knowledge Exchange (KE) Manager with expert knowledge and expertise in research and KE development and bidding for external funding. The role holder will be responsible for leading and managing a strategic portfolio – identifying, developing, and delivering activities to generate Research & KE income from external funding sources. The role holder will manage members of the Research & Knowledge Exchange (RKE) team in their strategic area. They will work closely with researchers and stakeholders to develop and deliver opportunities for highly impactful, inclusive, and engaged research at UWE Bristol. About you You will have an excellent understanding and awareness of the research and innovation funding landscape, and experience of bidding for research and innovation funding at a significant level. You will be a passionate, supportive and coaching manager, with leadership skills in line with UWE’s values (ambitious, collaborative, inclusive, innovative and enterprising). You will have proven experience and a track record in supporting researchers and their collaborators to develop and secure external funding for ambitious programmes of research and Knowledge Exchange. As a highly skilled communicator and planner, with a proactive dynamic approach and mindset you will liaise at all levels throughout the university and be networked into relevant sector communities. About us This role is part of the professional service, Research, Business and Innovation (RBI). RBI is a dynamic, friendly department with a strong team ethos and comprises approximately 90 staff.
