TTM Healthcare are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist to join adynamic respiratory team in Galway. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory and sleep investigations and contributing to the continuous development of our service. This role demands a commitment to the highest standards of practice in line with our service requirements. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct a full range of pulmonary function tests including spirometry, reversibility, DLCO, static lung volumes (N2 washout and body plethysmography), muscle strength tests, and skin allergy tests.
* Perform advanced tests such as mannitol challenge and exercise provocation tests.
* Conduct cardiopulmonary exercise tests.
* Conduct and manually score overnight limited or full sleep studies.
* Perform CPAP titration including CPAP mask fitting and compliance download.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Handle administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the lab and maintain accurate records.
* Address queries regarding pulmonary function testing (PFT) and appointments.
* Maintain and update patient records in accordance with Hospital Administration policies.
* Adhere to national and international guidelines at all times.
* Provide first-line maintenance, electrical and medical gases safety checking, and calibration of Lung Function Laboratory & Sleep equipment.
* Participate in the Quality Control program to ensure accurate and reproducible results.
* Conduct regular audits as part of the multidisciplinary team in the Sleep/Respiratory Service.
Key requirements:
* BSc in Clinical Measurement or equivalent and/or Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 years of satisfactory relevant post-qualification experience.
* Commitment to continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training programs.
* Proficient use of information technology for both patient care and administration, ensuring seamless integration with organizational systems.
