This is an interesting second line risk opportunity which has exposure to various expects of financial risk management. You will be working closely with the CRO and first line actuarial teams to ensure processes are efficient and accurate, and aligned not only across the UK but across the entire Group. The role will have line management, governance and strategic responsibilities, and play a key part in shaping the "best practice" and implementing risk management frameworks.
Some of the things you will be responsible for:
- Providing oversight, challenges and risk opinions.
- Taking the lead on governance meetings (in relation to financial risk and model risk).
- Risk appetite.
- Scenario testing and Own Risk Assessment report.
- Assessing financial risks, emerging risks and climate change.
- Supporting the development of risk assessment tools.
- Projects related to strategy and regulatory change.
