SENIOR RISK ONBOARDING ANALYST - PAYMENTS

This is an exciting new opportunity to work for a profitable and exciting company where you will manage a team.
THE COMPANY
This company is a payment processing organisation for merchants. They have recently revamped their systems and are now profitable and processing 14 million transactions a month.
THE ROLE
You will be doing the following daily:
- Oversee the processing of incoming applications, including requesting additional information as needed, and communicate progress updates to both internal and external sales teams.
- Ensure timely completion of applications within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and handle escalations when required.
- Scrutinise provided documents and data for accuracy, identifying, and addressing unusual or fraudulent behaviour.
- Conduct analysis of corporate balance sheets.
- Uphold compliance with Cashflows' Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) policy while adopting a risk-based approach.
- Evaluate complex/Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) merchant profiles.
- Exercise confident decision-making in dealing with Adverse Media, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions, and Source of Wealth/Source of Funds (SOW/SOF).
- Take an active role in sales and partner meetings, leading discussions to facilitate communication between internal sales/commercial teams and external partners.
- Assist the transaction monitoring team with periodic reviews.
- Update internal procedures and propose changes to existing policies and protocols.
- Provide support to the Head of Risk Operations in stakeholder and partner management.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to address merchant requirements and make decisions under awarded discretionary authority when necessary.
- Mentor and coach Underwriting Analysts to foster the development and growth of their underwriting skills.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience working in a customer onboarding position.
- Ability to demonstrate experience of KYC/AML/Risk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous leadership experience is ideal.
- Numerate degree from a Russel Group University.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
