This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, biotechnology start-up. After recent funding and successful completion of clinical studies in Europe and Brazil, they are entering an exciting phase of scale-up in both research and manufacture. Because of this growth, they are looking for a Senior Scientist in Immunology to join their team.
What you will be doing?
- In this post, you will beprimarily responsible for executing in-house evaluation, triage, and adoption of singlepexand multiplex immunoassays using a variety of analytical platforms.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical notes for use in both internal and external projects, and by company customers, including to GLP/GCP standards.
- Process breath aerosol samples and other biofluids (e.g. saliva,sputum, occasionally blood, etc.) from study participants. You will be responsible for performing all human study participantsample collection procedures undertaken internally, and must be comfortable with this.
- Working closely with the engineering team, you will also contribute tothe development of the company’s current and future products.
- You will be expected to develop data relevant to future regulatory submissions. This will requirecollaboration with external partners & customers, including visits to 3rdparty sites, potentially overseas.
What are they looking for?
- The post holder will have extensive hands-on, independent technical experience in using
immunoassays such as ELISA or flow cytometry, but preferably multiplex plate- or beadbased (flow cytometry) immunoassays. - PhD in Biological Sciences or commensurate commercial experience.
- Must be able to generate and record high quality data in accordance with regulatoryrequirements e.g.(USFDA, MHRA, etc.), and SOP development.
- Experience from GCP/GLP industrial settings is highly desirable.
- Able to rapidly acquire new technical, software, and computational skills.
