Job: Senior Site Manager
Location: Kent
Salary: Up to £75k + package
My client is looking for an experienced Senior / Site Manager who has experience starting and finishing a new build housing scheme. You will also need to be able to show longevity throughout your work history.
The Senior Site Manager:
- Ensuring compliance on site
- Number 1 on site
- Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager
- Co-coordinating labour and resources on site
- Manage material levels on site to ensure the minimum amount of stock
- Ensuring that all plots are built to the highest standard of quality
- Undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections
- Monitoring and controlling the cost of production, and approving payment to contractors and trades where appropriate
- Initiating and attending plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector
- Carrying out toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings
- Liaising proactively with other internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved
- To deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times
Key Criteria:
- CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid certificate
- BTEC diploma in Building Construction or NVQ Level 3 or 4 or similar
- Minimum 5 years as a Site Manager
- Proven track record of motivating staff and managing a site effectively
- Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy
