Your role in the team
  • As a center of excellence, you as part of our global marketing team will be responsible for supporting, and assisting 15+ local markets with strategic thinking, operations, & reporting of their local and regional Social Media channels.
  • You will be a member of our Group Social Media Team (2 members in London, and 3 others in Johannesburg) that include team members supporting Social Media creative (multimedia & video experts), community management, and monitoring of review sites.
  • You will be a key contributor in helping communicate our global Social Media strategy & activity throughout the business and assist in managing our external agency relationships.
What you’ll do
You’ll be a key member of the team supporting the head of Social Media & community with strategic thinking to support the local and regional goals, including leading sessions with regional Social Media Managers and ensuring best practices are up to date. They will also provide daily operational support (imposter reporting, password updates, problem solving, etc…) and education to our local/regional markets on items such as martech education (Sprout Social, AirTable, Brandwatch) or Social Media platform updates.
This role will also be in charge of generating monthly reports and analysis on social performance and competitor insights turning this data in to visuals to help us tell the story to the business and regional markets.
Along with the above, you’ll be an active participant working with and managing our external agencies, collaborating with our paid media and influencer teams, and assist the team in being a guardian of the brand and our brand guidelines.
As Social Media platforms evolve, you need to be excited to explore new opportunities in the Social Media space, for example how we can use AI to support the production of engaging content or utilize automation in speed up publishing, tagging reporting, etc.

What you’ll need for this role
  • This person is a natural communicator and future leader.
  • They will display in-depth knowledge of Social Media platforms, how each platform can be deployed with different content and how they operationally work.
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills to help craft the story of Social Media to local / regional markets. Accustomed to working with in a global corporation with regulatory/compliance constraints.
  • A self-starter who is able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced enviroment, takes initative and actively works towards uplifting the profile of the team.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in business/marketing
  • Knowledge of adobe creative suite, ad-lib/smartly, brandwatch, sprout social or similar marketing technology
  • You’ve led/managed a team or agency in previous roles
  • Managed multiple Social Media accounts in previous roles
