We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Senior Social Worker for the Together for Families Service in Reading. The Together for Families Service is committed to providing comprehensive support to families facing challenges and difficulties. Our aim is to empower families to build stronger relationships, enhance their parenting skills, and create a nurturing environment for children to thrive.
Role and Responsibilities: As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality services to families in the Reading area. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to families, conducting assessments, and developing tailored intervention plans.
- Leading a team of Social Workers and support staff, providing guidance, supervision, and support to ensure effective service delivery.
- Collaborating with partner agencies and professionals to coordinate holistic support for Families, including access to housing, healthcare, and education.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, ensuring outcomes are achieved and services are delivered in line with best practice and statutory requirements.
- Contributing to the development of service policies, procedures, and practice standards, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Acting as a champion for Families and advocating for their needs within the wider community.
Requirements for this role
- Qualified and registered Social Worker with relevant experience
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations
- Willingness to participate in continuous professional development.
