We have a Senior Support Worker role in our supported housing service in Stockwell. The service is close to Stockwell tube station, has good public transport links and onsite parking for colleagues. This role works to our person-centred support model building on customer care, health and safety, flexibility, adaptability and other skills to assist homeless individuals who are currently unable to live independently, by offering them the practical and emotional support they need to regain their Independence.?

As well as the very specific needs related to their status as an asylum seeker these young people come to us with a range of other support needs, including but not limited to mental health and learning disabilities.

You need knowledge of safeguarding and how this may apply in the day-to-day work we do as well as understanding of the reasons why people become homeless and the needs and challenges they face and of statutory as well as the voluntary resources available to the homeless and those seeking asylum in the UK.?
