They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join the Senior Management Team. This is a critical and exciting role with clear career progression to Director for the right candidate.

The Person

• Qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) (essential).
• Qualified Accountant (ACA) (preferred).
• Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in practice.
• Proven excellent exam record.
• Managerial experience in a similar role.
• Strong written and interpersonal skills.

The Role
This is a critical and exciting role, reporting to the Managing Director. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will have sound financial technical skills, an ability to manage a diverse portfolio whilst offering creative solutions for the future growth and success of the business.

Tax Compliance:

• Lead and manage the tax department and its staff.
• Oversee the preparation of high net worth individual tax returns.
• Prepare and review Corporate Tax, Sole Traders, Partnerships, CT600, and Trust tax returns.
• Address specific tax queries raised by clients or staff members.
• Manage HMRC full and aspect enquiries related to PAYE, Personal Tax, Corporate Tax, and VAT.
• Handle billing for the tax department and control Work In Progress (WIP).

Tax Consultancy:

• Conduct tax planning, reviewing clients' overall tax positions to ensure efficiency and preparing detailed tax reports.
• Develop new sources of tax income, such as IHT reports, PAYE/VAT health checks, Succession planning, Capital Allowance reports, R&D reports, etc.
• Prepare and distribute Tax Updates to clients and prospective clients.
• Foster and maintain relationships with existing clients and third parties.
