This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work in a busy and friendly office dealing with all aspect of Design and Development for new roads/highways in the Borough. You will join a team, which is instrumental in delivering projects covering a breadth of areas, from new residential development schemes to major highway improvement schemes including Section 38, 278 and 106. You will assist in shaping the highways infrastructure, for future users.
You will work independently and proactively on projects, making sure that work is delivered to the relevant standards, the required quality, on time and in budget.
You will have a good working knowledge of current standards relating to highway design and construction. You will have experience of managing projects, budgets, and supporting contractors in the delivery of the construction phase of projects.
In return, you will receive 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. After 5 years continuous local government service you will receive 31 days leave plus Bank Holidays.
