London: £41,189 with progression to £45,766
National: £38,390 with progression to £42,656

Location
The role can be based flexibly, however a location in Greater London and working 2 days a week from our London office is desirable. The vast majority of major donor prospects live in Greater London and the South East of England.
We have a network of key offices across the country should you wish to propose to work 2 days from these.
The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
We are currently looking for a major donor fundraiser with:
-Relevant experience gained in a new business environment, evidencing business development skills having personally secured and retained significant philanthropic gifts
-Outstanding interpersonal skills. Able to engage cold contacts in a room effortlessly.
-Excellent verbal communication skills, confident and compelling when talking to an audience.
-A successful track record in securing major donations through individual approaches, utilising advanced influencing, negotiation and communication skills
-Expert knowledge of major donor fundraising, wealth advisory giving, tax efficient giving, and senior volunteer boards
-Experience of having secured a variety of personal contacts with key stakeholders, wealth advisors, trustees and donors
-Ability to influence and persuade in a medium/large complex organisation
-Experience of coaching or line managing colleagues to succeed
-Efficiency and awareness of working in a sales centric environment
A key part of this role will be your ability to:
New Business
-Build a robust prospect pipeline of strategic high-value donor opportunities - identifying, researching, appropriately qualifying all leads with a strong focus on individuals with the personal capacity or a network with the ability to yield 6 and 7 figure annual financial contributions.
-Develop and deliver strong engagement plans and bespoke supporter journeys for identified prospects
-Be a knowledge leader within philanthropic giving and tax beneficial giving, staying abreast of sector news, current affairs and potential new leads
-Producing bespoke, persuasive and high-quality proposals, pitches and campaigns, ultimately securing multiple new 6 and 7 figure donations each year
-To be fully conversant with youth engagement activity and experiential engagement
-Personally accountable for securing 6 and 7 figure donations
