Would you like to work during the summer for Edinburgh Napier University, Student Accommodation Conference & Lettings? During the summer period, Edinburgh Napier’s city centre student flats are let out to Language Schools, Holidaymakers, Fringe and Festival performers, Conference Delegates and Family Groups from around the world.
We are looking to appoint a Senior Vacation Letting Assistant to facilitate the running of the commercial summer letting period within the student flats, including draw-down at the end of the student leases, set-up of flats for the summer Vacation Letting business and preparation of flats for the 2024 student intake.
The Role:
• Play a lead role in the team’s induction training in June 2023
• Assist the Conference Office with the induction of Summer Language School Centre Managers and remain a point of contact through the summer period.
• As a leader, it is your responsibility to ensure that your team maintains the highest standards in terms of professionalism, cleanliness, linen and stock levels management, flat preparation, and customer service.
• To consistently ensure a customer focused approach and excellent service delivery to all guests
• Responsible for the proper reporting of repairs
• To monitor the Summer Lettings Outlook inbox and respond to enquiries from Edinburgh Napier University staff and summer clients and guests
• This role may require some cleaning and bed making tasks to meet business requirements.
What are we looking for:
• The successful candidates must be prepared to work a flexible work pattern and weekend working is essential.
• The post is live-in at the flat developments. Living on-site is an essential requirement but the accommodation will be rent-free.
• You will enjoy dealing and communicating with people, be able to work on your own initiative but enjoy working as part of a team. During the set-up and draw-down of the flats the work will be physically demanding.
• Attention to detail and excellent customer care skills such as reception duty experience are vital.
• Ability to lead and supervise a successful team, to make decisions as circumstances require on own initiative.
