The role
Are you passionate about creating exceptional Visitor Experiences and celebrating Herefordshire’s rich cultural heritage?
If so, we're seeking a dynamic Senior Visitor Experience Officer to join our growing Visitor Experience team. As Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you'll collaborate with colleagues to ensure every visitor’s experience is outstanding. You'll work alongside a dedicated team committed to prioritising visitor satisfaction. 
You'll be instrumental in supporting income-generating activities, such as increasing sales in our shop, curating merchandise and promoting events and exhibitions to visitors. Your role is essential in ensuring Museum Service’s financial sustainability while enriching visitors' experiences.
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you will oversee a small team of Visitor Experience colleagues and participate in the duty rota, engaging directly with visitors on some days. You will support the development of collaborative and visitor-centric culture within in the service, emphasising excellence and innovation. Additionally, you will drive income-generating initiatives by boosting shop sales, upselling, selling event tickets, and soliciting donations, while also actively promoting upcoming events and exhibitions.
About You
As Senior Visitor Experience Officer you will  have:
•Significant experience in working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer care skills and understanding of visitor expectations.
•Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and security in museum buildings.
•Effective communication skills, including the ability to engage with visitors, build strong working relationships, and respond calmly and efficiently to inquiries and issues.
