Senior Warehouse Operative

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Responsible for day to day running of the warehouse.

·       Key Holder – responsible for opening/closing the warehouse ensuring site is secure and key contact if alarm goes off outside working hours

·       License to drive a Bendi truck

·       Computer Literate – experienced using MS Excel / sharepoint.

·       In control of stock, monthly stock report for Finance, performing stock counts and updating the live stock tracker on MS Excel by monitoring and updating inventory transactions for accuracy, reconciliating discrepancies – SCM to provide assistance.

·       Transport – booking deliveries and collections from suppliers with transport providers

·       Unloading and receiving goods (currently up to 3 deliveries a week), requires communication with the suppliers to confirm when collecting etc

·       Receiving Returns from Install Managers / contractors – checking returned goods for damaged/missing items and reporting where found

·       Picking and loading shipments (currently up to 10 deliveries a week), ensuring all deliveries are clearly labelled and delivery note given to transporter(s)

·       Communicating to customers/SDMs/IMs to confirm when their deliveries will arrive

·       Dealing with Adhoc requests from colleagues/customers for stock but mostly sent on Equipment Form requests, providing timely responses to any queries either by phone, teams or email.

·       Ensuring key KPIs are met such as ‘on time in full’, these will be agreed with the SCM in due course.

·       Ensuring we dispose of waste and recycling correctly, using the WEE Waste unit from Biffa and advising SCM when needs emptying and replacing.

·       Ensuring warehouse is clean, maintained and free from hazards.

·       Liaison with HSEQ Manager to ensure compliance with regulations

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

·       Strong Communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods

·       Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to   problem solving

·       Time Management

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook and Teams

·       Able to operate a Bendi Truck

·       Fluent English
