Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - 3 weeks 0700-1500/1 week 0930-1800
The role will support the Warehouse Manager to deliver first class Materials Management Services at our clients Aberdeen warehouse, supervising the execution of all operational activity across Receipts, Dispatch and Shipping, IT&S and Inventory Counts. Through your demonstrable experience in this field and excellent people management skills you will ensure the team achieve the highest standards of safety, operational performance, and service delivery. The role will also deputise, as required, for the Warehouse Manager. Candidates must be mobile to participate in a duty rota with occasional evening and weekend work. Key responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop excellent working relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors, promoting a positive image of the Company through first class service delivery and client engagement.
  • Act as focal point for responding to client queries from onshore/offshore representatives.
  • Ensure team compliance to client and ASCO procedures, including Risk Assessment, GOPs, Manual Handling Assessment Forms etc, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Guide team to operate in a cost-effective manner and actively participate in suggesting opportunities to achieve cost savings across the operation.
  • Apply a fair and consistent approach to the supervision and development of people, pro-actively addressing issues such as performance, absence, training, and succession planning.
  • Manage inventory; stock storage and identification, movements, returns, repair and scrap disposals, inventory counts, including discrepancy investigation and reporting.
  • Arrange transportation, inspection, or relocation of inventory, as required.
  • Prepare and submit reports to both line management and client.
  • Maintain an accurate, auditable record of activities.
  • Correctly utilise forklifts and lifting equipment as set out in legislative and Company policy, ensuring team members are also complaint.
  • Effectively verify the physical inventory stored either within the warehouse or at vendor sites.
  • Stock accuracy.
  • Ensure material is kept in a fit and proper state and stored in a safe manner.
  • Ensure physical, process and data integrity.
  • Effectively reconcile client and inventory records
  • Write audit reports with recommendations for the inventory and VMI process.
  • Follow through audit findings and close out when completed.

  • Works effectively on multiple activities, setting priority levels and service delivery.
  • Adapts to short timescales / changing deadlines where high standards are not compromised under pressure.
  • Excellent planning, organising and numeric skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while contributing to the wider team.
  • Highly numeric with well-developed IT across the Microsoft suite.
  • Practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications, specifically SAP warehouse transactions and processes.
