Supporting all of our BDO offices, our Property and Facilities team provides everything we need to guarantee our people a safe, efficient, and environmentally-friendly workplace. They ensure that all of our offices use the latest systems and services, enabling seamless collaboration and consistency across our firm. They play a key role in helping us to evolve – in terms of hardware and infrastructure – and they have a uniquely tangible effect on the offices they work with. You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

This is a great opportunity for a talented, high performing and ambitious manager to join the PFM Team. In this role you'll:

  • Strategically align workplace priorities with business values and HR policy

  • Ensure Hubs deliver space that supports the priority activities aligned to workplace priorities.

  • Understand building user requirements including forecast headcount growth

  • Drive the creation of a human-centric and experience-based workplace for clients across their locations.

  • Ensure that all planning is aligned to People policies, currently WORKABLE

  • Develop and maintain design standards aligned to BDO’s brand

  • Work with appointed Architects and Designers to inform BDO design requirements

  • Develop and maintain planning standards in line with workplace strategy

  • Ensure all occupancy plans are with building code regulations

  • Engage with business at all levels to gain alignment with the operational workplace model

  • Develop and maintain workplace guidelines for best practice etiquettes and functional requirements for workplace

  • Partner with internal Comms to communicate strategic and tactical objectives and changes

  • Work with Operations Managers, IT and HR to track building utilisation

  • Identify changes in business streams that will drive changes to space assignment

  • Establish a system of record for space utilisation and drive consistent reporting and terminology

  • Develop performance indicators, client specifications and methodology for performance management and continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with Property Managers during location strategic planning and project execution

  • Support Facilities Managers and Operations Managers on workplace issues

  • Ensure connection with relevant PMD’s is maintained

You’ll be someone with:

  • Previous experience of workplace strategy and change management.

  • Experience in planning and delivering Strategic Workplace Experience activities. 

  • Business acumen with strong contract, vendor management   strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

  • Experience of informal and formal presentations. 

  • Experience of leading a team and people management. 

  • Established track record in service delivery and leading customer orientated initiatives. 

  • The ability to write reports, manuals and articles using distinctive style. 

  • The ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. 

  • The ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders, leadership team and client groups.
