Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Service Controller to join our busy service and maintenance desk.
This position is to work closely with the service team and be the first port of call for customer breakdown and maintenance queries. Controlling the workshop, mobile and third-party engineers
This role will keep you on your toes and has a lot of elements to it. Here is a flavour of what you’ll be doing day to day:
- Focus on providing high-quality customer service
- Ensuring hire fleet equipment is maintained to the manufacturer’s recommendations
- Drafting communications for both postal and emails, organising the repair and service of our fleet
- Obtaining updates, escalating issues, challenging costs and potential delays
- Authorising and controlling expenditure
- Processing and approving invoices
To be successful in this role:
- Be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner
- Have strong administrative skills
- Be PC literate with the ability to adapt to a wide variety of tasks
- Be empathetic with the ability to understand customer needs and requirements in challenging situations
- Can work well under pressure
