Customer and Community Services are looking to recruit a Service Development Assistant to assist in the coordination, development and delivery of the Customer and Community Services electronic resources. As part of a coordinated team you will develop training resources to ensure customers gain maximum benefit from on line services and resources.
You will work closely with Service Development Officers to identify and address digital priorities in each local neighborhood and assist in the development of works which will be aimed at encouraging customers to access services online.
You will support in the modernisation of the service through the development of electronic services including promotion, implementation and ongoing development of customer e-books, magazines, self- service terminals, social media and self-help guides.
You will work with colleagues within Customer and Community Services, other council services and partners to ensure that electronic services are delivered in a way that engages and supports users. This will require a presence within communities to promote digital services, use of digital devices and access to local Wi-Fi provision.
You will be the named contact to The Scottish Book Trust to act as the Bookbug Co-Ordinator for the Bookbug programme in West Lothian Customer and Community Services. You will be responsible for overseeing Bookbug provision and you will be required to keep relevant Bookbug statistics.
