Service Development Business Specialist

We are currently looking for a Service Development Business Specialist to join a leading Scientific company based in the Milton Keynes area. As the Service Development Business Specialist you will be responsible to exceed the service team order budget for the UK by increasing the overall value of the Service Business and the number of Service Agreements.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Service Development Business Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Service Development Business Specialist you will have a proficient knowledge of all the company's chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and testing machine products with emphasis on the relevant Service Agreements available for their customers.
2. You will identify customers' needs and ensure the service offerings meet customer requirements. It will be key to ensure that customers are on the most appropriate service level agreement
3. You will interact professionally with all other field personnel that will from time to time be actively supporting you e.g. Technical/Market Specialists, Service Engineers, Sales/Technical Managers and Administration Team.
4. As the Service Development Business Specialist you will comply to and operate within the pricing and discount directives set in place by the company. You will also fully represent the company at any trade or media event e.g. exhibitions, which you may from time to time be asked to attend.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Service Development Business Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant scientific background along with Sales experience is essential.
2. Experience of working with/ strong knowledge of Laboratory instrumentation which may include some of the following products, HPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, FTIR, UV, TOC, EDX is required. The ideal candidate will also have experience or knowledge of working in a GLP/GMP environment.
3. It is crucial to have a commercial understanding of laboratory operations along with an understanding of the benefits of Service Agreements.
