Service Engineer
Volspec Ltd are looking for a Service Engineer to join our engineering team; do you come from a mechanical background such as automotive, plant, forklift, ex-forces or mechanical engineering?
Service Engineer - The role:
In this role you will be working on Marine and Industrial engines and associated products & equipment, and be responsible for:
- Diagnostics & fault finding
- Installation & commissioning
- Servicing & repairing
- Major component replacement & engine/transmission rebuilds & overhauls
- Software programming & Updating
Working within the Marine Leisure and Commercial sectors, along with Off-Highway vehicles and Power Generation equipment, you will receive market leading manufacturer based training on all variants of the equipment whilst working for a stable company, based out of either our Essex or Suffolk workshops
This role would ideally suit an experienced senior technician or engineer, or someone from a similar background with experience of mechanical & electrical control systems who is looking for the opportunity to receive market leading training and to progress in this demanding and varied industry
Diagnostics, installing, repairing & rebuilding, servicing and maintaining Marine and Industrial engines and associated equipment, including exhaust aftertreatment systems and in time, electromobility applications

Service Engineer - The ideal candidate:
Team player with good communication skills
Good attention to detail
The ability to use own initiative
Senior service technician or similar training/background
A willingess to embrace & learn about new technologies and systems
Service Engineer - Essential requirements:
- Full UK valid driving licence
- Legal right to work in the UK
Service Engineer -Renumeration:
This hourly paid role would be based on a 40-hour working week, with overtime paid for working outside of the normal hours
Basic rate from GBP33K per annum depending on age & experience
Statutory holiday entitlement of 28 days (including bank holidays) applies, with additional annual leave days added for length of service
