We currently have an exciting opportunity for a caring, compassionate and talented Service Leader. This position would give the successful candidate the chance to make a real difference to the lives of others as well as provide them with great development opportunities.

The service based in Lincoln supports two young men who both have autism in their own home.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience of managing and leading teams, supporting individuals with Autism and Positive Behaviour Support. You will be responsible for guiding teams to effectively support individuals who may present behaviours that can challenge services as well as overseeing restrictions carried out in line with legal and policy requirements (Dols and C.O.P). As a skilled and talented leader, you will be responsible for the overall supervision, quality assurance, monitoring, regulatory requirements and day to day management of approximately 24 colleagues. The responsibilities for this role are centred on the delivery, quality, financial stability and on-going development of the service. You will ensure there is a focus on providing the people supported opportunities to develop their independence in the communities they live in.

The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the safe and effective management of the service, ensuring that all aspects of support and service delivery is focused on meeting the needs and preferences of the people supported within the philosophical framework of person-centred planning.

  • Effective communication, leadership and coaching skills are important as you will be responsible for communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Essentially you will have worked with the client group who have support needs relating to Autism and Learning Disabilities.
  • Ideally you will have a level 5 social care qualification or working towards this level as a minimum.
  • You will be committed to person centred planning and positive risk taking. It is essential you are a driver with a full license.
