Service: 24 hour homeless service
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday - flexibility required, part of the on-call rota

Salary and Benefits

Overview of the Role
I am recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to work in a new renovated, fast-paced 24 hour hostel, to support people who struggle with an array of complex issues. You will lead an amazing team of Service Coordinators, and Support Workers, to ensure the service delivers the best possible outcomes for the people living in the hostel. The hostel is based in Swadlincote, and alongside the hostel, there is a service which provides housing related support for adults in the community. People using these services are at risk of homelessness but may also have experience or show behaviour of mental health, drug or alcohol misuse, a history of offending, or maybe at risk of re-offending. You will need to be resilient, empathetic, and have a genuine passion to help people manage through tough times and support them in getting their lives to a better place
Key Responsibilities
Providing a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person-centred manner
Signposting customers to relevant sources of information, support, guidance, and advice
Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers
Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy
Completing and maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks)
