A Vacancy at Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.

An opportunity has arisen for the post of Service Manager Adult Integrated Community Mental Health Services-Front Door Team within Enfield mental health services. The successful candidate will have operational responsibility for the provision of Enfield Integrated Community services for Adult Mental Health, and the interface with services provided by the relevant Enfield Council, Community, Housing and Social Services Departments, Voluntary sector and Primary care services.
• To provide operational management and leadership to Enfield mental health services. To be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of services including the management of all staff and related budgets.
• To lead the Transformation of community mental health services in Enfield and develop networks for staff to access support.
• To develop services in the borough in partnership with our Council colleagues, other statutory agencies, the independent sector, service users and carers. To ensure the delivery of high standards of care and to maximise the use of available resources, meeting financial and other corporate targets.
• To be a member of the Divisional Management Team and contribute to the strategic development of services within the borough.
• To lead in facilitating health and social care to work in partnership at all times, and to ensure that the values and ethos of social care, as well as of the NHS, are embedded within the organisation.
• To support the Managing Director in the strategic development of services across the Enfield.
Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust provides local, regional and national award-winning healthcare services. We have more than 3.300 staff working out of 20 main sites serving a population of 1.2 million people. We provide community health services and mental health services for young people, adults and older people. Our North London Forensic Service treats and cares for people in the criminal justice system who have mental health conditions. We also provide one of the largest eating disorders services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services.

1. Ensure effective multi disciplinary work including appropriate arrangements for supervisory and appraisal procedures are in place and implemented within a performance management framework.
2. Ensure the requirements of corporate clinical governance are met.
3. Promote and strengthen the social care dimension of service delivery, working closely with social care colleagues in Social Services.
4. In line with the Trusts polices, take the leading role in the investigation of serious incidents and complaints.
5. To manage all staff within the Enfield Adult Health & Social Care Service and to provide leadership to the whole service in conjunction with senior clinical colleagues.
6. To work in collaboration with the Consultant group and other lead professionals for the Adult Mental Health and Social Care team.
7. To operate within agreed budgets and ensure compliance with Standing Financial Instructions and other policies and procedures and any audit recommendations.
8. To maintain compliance with the Trust’s approach to Human Resources, including the developing of training plans for the teams.
9. Create a supportive management culture within the in order to harness the capacity, energy and commitment of the workforce. We operate a Just and Learning Culture.
10. To continually review working practices, methods and staffing requirements to enable the local service to adapt to shifting pressures and demands.
11. To ensure that care management assessments, packages of care are reviews and carers assessments are undertaken.
12. Comply with statutory social care guidance and Trust social care policies.
13. Maintain an up to date knowledge of and apply all new health and social care directives, guidelines, advance letters and legislation, which will impact on the local service.
14. Collect, maintain, interpret and distribute all relevant information that pertains to the local service.
15. Continue the development of a culture of evidence-based practice and support specialist practitioners in their role.
