Due to the retirement of the previous post holder, Bridgend County Borough Council, have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional professional to be appointed as our Service Manager for our Safeguarding services, (current) Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and Secure Estate Services.
You will be the Lead professional for Adult Social Care Services and work as part of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), specifically with responsibility for safeguarding adults; in addition you will be responsible for the administration and implementation of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), as well as managing the Social ServicesSecure Estate Team in HMP Parc.
You will be a registered social worker and an experienced manager in Adult Social work services, with an in-depth and broad knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory functions and national guidance that pertains to children, young people and adults, particularly safeguarding and mental capacity. You will have experience of managing complex safeguarding arrangements, as well as experience of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working, knowledge of MARAC and MAPPA Processes and Parole Board Hearings preferably across traditional organisational boundaries.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
