Job description

We are an international manufacturing and engineering company supplying equipment to customers worldwide. Due to our continued success, we are seeking a Service Scheduler to join our UK Head Office based in Farnborough. You will be supporting our customers across the UK and managing the scheduling of a team of 16 engineers alongside another colleague. We can offer a generous starting salary, working Monday to Friday with hybrid working available once trained, we offer free parking, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and an excellent benefits package including contributory pension.

The role would suit candidates with some current or previous experience of scheduling engineers, contractors or other personnel based on site. You should have strong customer service skills ideally gained in a B2B environment with previous customer service experience. You should be happy to learn about our technical products as we will provide full training on our business and product ranges.

You will be responsible for Scheduling a team of Field Service Engineers and providing quality advice where required. The engineers cover planned maintenance, servicing, installations, upgrades, breakdowns and calibration for a range of equipment. This role is critical in providing the high levels of service our customers expect and maximising the efficiency of our service resources. To succeed in this role you will require to develop and maintain a good relationship with both our customers and internal staff, while working towards developing your technical skills on our products.
• Responding to a range of customer enquiries regarding service requirements.
• Manage the scheduling of engineers across the UK, taking into consideration business & customers priorities and contractual response times.
• Covering a range of service requests. This could include scheduling the engineers to fix breakdowns, upgrades, commission new machines, under take preventative maintenance and calibrations.
• As the focal point for breakdown situations you will be required to monitor for trends and escalate where required to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
• You will be expected to maximise the benefit to the business and ensure effective utilisation at all times.
• Handle customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
• Completing all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with the company procedures.
• Must be prepared to learn a diverse set of products and continually improve your product knowledge.
• Provide support via phone and email where required

To be successful, you should have some previous service scheduling or similar experience gained in a role whereby you are managing the diaries and actions of field based personnel, excellent customer service skills and be a confident user of the Microsoft packages.
