We are currently recruiting a Setting out Engineer for a long duration contract in the London Borough of Enfield.

About the job: What the job involves, its roles and duties.

The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for Setting Out the works in accordance with the design and he/she will have responsibility for the following site duties.

• Report to the Site Manager / Project Manager on all aspects related to Setting Out and record keeping.
• Responsibility for Setting Out, levelling and surveying the site. Mapping and surveying and responsibility for the digital computation, recording and reporting of data / statistics.
• Supervision of materials and ensuring relevant documentation is compliant.
• Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.
• Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors.
• Resolving technical / engineering problems.
• Examine design information, to ensure plans and drawings are accurate and achievable.
• Assist in the production of as built records.
• Responsibility for producing ITP's and ensure they are signed off by relevant parties.
• Ensure that the QA File is produced and maintained.

 Requirements: Any experience and/or education requirements.

• Minimum 2 years construction experience with a proven record of the discipline of a Setting Out Engineer.
• Knowledge of instruments such as total station
• Good working knowledge of CDM regulations.
• Problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Good organisational skills
• CSCS card
