Setting Out Engineer
I am currently working with a leading, family run civil engineering business who operate in the UK and Ireland. They are in need of a permanent Setting Out Engineer to join this brand new project, due to start in Feb 2024. You will be working on a £20m frames project in Central London finishing in the next year, with just under a years worth of work.
You must have previous RC Frame experience / Groundworks with a reputable specialist sub-contractor.
This is a permanent role paying up to £50,000
Hours are 07:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday
You will be based in Central London, walking distance from local train, tube and bus routes
Role and responsibilities -
- Site Setting Out
- Liaison with site manager and site foreman each morning to establish works for the day
- All QA regarding pre-pour inspections, works inspection records, oversee cube testing and administration, instrument checks, measure of concrete pours, as-builds of works completed
- Review of drawings and schedules in advance of upcoming works
- Raise RFI's where necessary
- Photographic records to be maintained daily
- Assist in health and safety management and standards on site
- Maintaining equipment and manage paperwork
- Supervising groundworks
- Earthworks testing
Candidate requirements
- Experience working on civil engineering projects with a main contractor / specialist sub contractor
- CSCS Card
- First Aid (3 day course)
- Be computer literate in the use of dwg, pdf, word, excel, procore
