SalarySafety, Health and Environmental Advisor required for a leading manufacturing organisation based in West Yorkshire, on a permanent basis.
In this role you will provide visible and active support on day to day safety, health and environmental activities and to implement risk assessment and performance monitoring programs to ensure continued compliance. Demonstrate the ability to identify and report problems.Assist in actions for continuous improvement.
The Role:
- Lead health and safety on site and champion the Company’s Zero Harm program.
- Evaluate and challenge the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental policy and associated management systems.
- Monitor and enforce the implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management System.
- Support all areas of the business to deliver the SHE objectives.
- Identify and evaluate hazards through risk assessment, determining risk reduction programs and assisting other departments with the implementation of safe systems of work.
- Carry out thorough incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to generate robust corrective action plans.
- Perform internal audits to verify the effectiveness of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management System.
- Monitor the implementation of risk reduction strategies and review their effectiveness.
- Provide risk management education, training and support to staff.
- Implement monitoring programmes to support safety, health and environmental compliance.
Experience and Skills required:
- NEBOSH general certificate qualified
- Preferably a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Salary is paying up to circa £40,000 DOE (potential flex on salary DOE) plus excellent additional Benefits.
