The salary for this role is £66,660 to £79,595 and excellent company benefits

As a Safety and Quality Manager you will create and develop the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Strategy for the UK Heat Networks business, working alongside other teams within the E.ON Group to develop and maintain the SHEQ management system.
You will be th e main point of contact and lead expert for all SHEQ related matters for internal and external stakeholders across all management levels, communicating and implementing all relevant SHEQ management information and culture to ensure employees and third party contractors comply with our ways of working and standards.
Other responsibilities include:
- Management of 2 SHEQ Officers
- Establish and maintain an effective environment and culture of safety and compliance within Heat Networks Operations and C&MP across UK regions, supporting and appropriately challenging business colleagues
- Lead serious incident and asset investigations
- In conjunction with the Compliance Lead and Technical Safety Team, develop and deliver the SHEQ objectives and provide Bid & Tender information related to SHEQ
- Be the HSSE focal point for Heat Networks
- Point of external contact for SHEQ standards to our regulators i.e., HSE, EA, local government agents and interested parties
- Establish key internal stakeholder relationships to keep informed of business changes, new processes, future plans and changes to make sure SHEQ is appropriately embedded in the implementation
- Manage the incident, investigation, and risk platforms for Heat Networks. Utilise these systems to maintain accurate records, complete statistical analysis, and the production of monthly KPI packs relating to SHEQ data for Operations and contracted parties
- Support contractor selection, tendering and contract management activity for third party work associated with SHEQ where required
- Support the SSOW requirements of construction and operations activities
- Represent Heat Networks with relevant regulatory and professional external bodies, e.g. EEMUA, EI. Act as the principal interface in the partnering interface with AOG
- As Risk Champion, embed effective decision-making processes and reporting for Safety and Compliance related risks in Heat Networks . Use hazard and risk identification and analysis (Bowtie, FMECA, HAZID, PHA, etc) Providing recommendations and coordinating improvement
- Responsible for direct reports to support SHEQ management, audit, incident data collection and analysis across all Operations regions – London, North, Southwest, Citigen
- Experience of developing and working within SHEQ systems (e.g. ISO 9001; 14001; 45001)
- NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate as minimum (preferably Diploma) in Occupational Health & Safety
- IEMA Certificate OR Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
- Internal SHEQ auditor experience
- Demonstrable experience of successfully leading within a Safety & Compliance environment
- Demonstrable understanding of an engineering environment, and its demands regarding safety and compliance
- Highly motivated, with excellent influencing skills and the ability to work confidently with the Leadership Team, Site Management Teams, and across fleet stakeholders.
- Ability to develop a strategic approach, gain support and commitment to deliver from within the business
- Ability to drive positive change, successfully getting buy-in with a variety of stakeholders
- Communication and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex issues, and determine clear recommendations for action
- Excellent leadership, communication (written/verbal) at all levels of the organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Confident in making decisions and able to adapt and resilience to challenges
- Strong people management and coaching skills
