Shift Engineer

Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a confident Shift Engineer to join the established engineering team at our clients busy Distribution Centre at The East Midlands Gateway in Castle Donington.
Working with the wider engineering team you will be responsible for the planned maintenance schedule and responding to breakdowns keeping down time to a minimum on a wide range of Material Handling Equipment including Conveyors, storage retrieval systems, totes, shuttles, packaging machinery, labelling machinery and much more.

Key responsibilities for a Shift Engineer

• Planned Routine Maintenance
• Take ownership of breakdowns to limit downtime
• Strong Attention to detail
• CMMS use
• Service and repair of equipment on site
• Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
• Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Shift Engineer

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 Multi Skilled Engineer
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and industrial control systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Confidently work at height.

Salary and Benefits of a Shift Engineer

• Salary up to £49,904 Including Shift Allowance
• Panama Shift
• 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
• Career progression
