SalaryAstute’s Renewables team is partnered with an established business within in the renewable energy sector, who run and operate a de-packaging site, which processes the feedstock for their Anaerobic Digestion Plant. They are looking to recruit a Shift Supervisor for their site near Castle Eden.
The Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of the processing plant. The role comes with a salary of up to �40,000 DOE (depending on experience) and company benefits.
We are keen to speak to those who have experience within a waste processing environment and would be especially keen to speak with those with supervisory experience from a food waste/anaerobic digestion background.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:
* Monitor and control the de-packaging process, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to set standards.
* Supervise Plant Operators and Technicians to ensure smooth operation and efficient utilisation of resources.
* Conduct regular inspections and checks to identify and address any equipment malfunctions or potential issues.
* Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to reinforce safety awareness and practices.
* Ensure the plant operates in compliance with all environmental regulations and permits.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory reporting purposes
* Supervise, train, and motivate Plant Operators and Technicians, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Schedule shifts and allocate tasks effectively to ensure optimal workforce utilization
* Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Mobile plant experience is desired
* Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
Personal skills
The Shift Supervisor role would suit someone who has:
* Previous supervisory experience working in a waste processing environment
* Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance standards.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.
* Firstline maintenance experience
* A great work ethic
