Shipping Administrator

Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently working with a well-established raw material trader who are actively looking a Shipping Administrator to join the team in their office near Croydon.

Our client are experts in their field and have some long-standing relationships with businesses on a global scale.

Shipping AdministratorPosition Overview

• Managing freight shipping operations, including rate coordination, booking tracking, invoice approval, and dispute resolution.
• Overseeing contracts and shipment schedules to ensure timely arrival of shipping and banking documents.
• Verifying specifications, generating shipment confirmations, and handling invoicing.
• Coordinating with shipping companies for accurate documentation such as Bills of Lading.
• Recording and organising bank receipts in the accounting system.
• Processing supplier invoices and arranging payments in various currencies.
• Facilitating foreign exchange transactions.
• Addressing customer and supplier enquiries promptly and accurately.
• Managing Bills of Exchange and liaising with banks on Letters of Credit.
• Approving bank collection schedules and ensuring contract accuracy.
• Handling filing and miscellaneous tasks as needed.
• Providing support to traders for requests and enquiries.

Shipping AdministratorPosition Requirements

• Import / Export experience (Advantageous)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft packages - Excel etc
• Tech savvy
