Shoe Maker / Repairer

Main Duties

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Shoe Maker to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have substantial previous hands-on experience in shoe making. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for shoes and genuine expertise in the construction of footwear, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering unparalleled quality in every repair. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional; who may be a highly skilled Shoe Maker to contribute to the success of Classic Shoe Repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of luxury footwear to determine repair requirements.
• Execute various repair techniques, including but not limited to heel replacement, heel reconstruction, stitching, recovering of heels and foot beds, reattaching of stones and other delicate components, and ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.
• Work with a wide range of materials, especially all types of leathers, suede, and delicate fabrics such as satin and others commonly found in luxury shoe designs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand specific preferences and requirements for each repair job.
• Utilize advanced tools and equipment to achieve precise and the highest aesthetics to pass quality control.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safe working practices and environment.
• Complete repairs on the most complex of men’s and women’s shoe designs in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven substantial experience as a Shoe Maker.
• In-depth knowledge of various shoe making and repair techniques, such as but not limited to heel replacement, heel reconstruction, stitching, recovering of heels and footbeds, reattaching of stones and other delicate components.
• Extensive experience working with various leathers, suede, exotic skins, and satin.
• Ability to work with precision tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client consultations.
• Flexibility to adapt to complex shoe construction.
• Highest level of detail and to achieve the best finish possible that meets our clients’ requirements.
